I've always loved drawing and capturing images. It feels like a fresh breath of air.

I took one year of classes for 'Illustration' at the (HKU) Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, but didn't finish the rest of the years. 

And as always life happens and I stopped drawing and painting. Years later, after going through a second burn out, I realised drawing has to be part of my life again. 
It is my way to process life, if so to say.

I love drawing and painting and making messes. And I have learned the last one is critical for the process. It's hard to let go of the picture perfect sometimes, but I find that when I do, interesting things start to happen! 

Besides illustration I love gardening in the market garden www.hofvanhedentuin.nl, together with my husband Ben, and hosting workshops for adults and children (Aardekinderen).
